What is Terrapin Billing?
Billing, POS and collections in one place. You raise tax invoices, bill walk-in customers, collect by QR code or SMS payment link, handle returns and refunds, and ship orders, with every step on the same bill and customer record.
Is it really free?
Yes. The Free plan covers two users at one location. If you need more users or more than one location, you move to Pro, which includes five users and any number of locations. See the Pricing section for details.
What is the difference between Free, Pro and CRM?
Free is for up to two users billing at one location. Pro gives five users and any number of locations, plus Pro features such as custom invoice formats and shipping. Terrapin CRM includes all of Billing plus leads, outreach, pipeline, quotes and sales orders.
How do customers pay?
By scanning the QR code on the bill, through an SMS payment link, or online through your payment gateway. Cash payments are recorded against the bill too. Every payment is applied to the right invoice.
Does it work with Tally?
Yes, alongside it. Your accountant keeps the books in Tally while you bill and collect in Terrapin. We'll confirm with you in the demo how invoices and receipts reach Tally.
Does it manage stock?
Terrapin Billing focuses on invoices, payments, returns and shipping. If you need stock across warehouses, that is part of Terrapin eCommerce.
How do returns and refunds work?
Raise a credit note against the original bill for a return, damage or price correction, and record the refund against it. The customer's balance updates on its own.
Can I ship orders from it?
Yes. Packing, an integrated shipping partner and shipment tracking are included, so you can book the courier and share tracking from the bill.
What does the AI Billing Assistant do?
Your staff ask it in chat to find an invoice, create one, or check the status of a payment or shipment, instead of searching screens or asking you.
Who pays SMS, payment gateway and courier charges?
Those providers bill you at their own rates. They are not part of the Terrapin subscription.
Can I use it outside India?
Billing is built India-first, with GST tax invoices and UPI QR payments. If you invoice in the UAE or Nigeria, invoicing runs inside Terrapin CRM; ask us about local tax formats.
What happens when I upgrade to CRM?
